You can save and load waves in EWB in ascii format. I use this when need
a special waveform in the simulations, ie: ADSR envelopes, pop noise or
need a *unespected* transient in part of the simulation.
The data format is pretty simple:
-space- [time] -space- [voltage]
Example: save numbers below to a txt file and use the "Piecewise Linear
Source" device (the one with the diskete icon) and load it with the txt
0.00000001 0
1 10
1.00000001 0
2 10
2.00000001 0
3 10
3.00000001 0
4 10
4.00000001 0
5 10
5.00000001 0
6 10
6.00000001 0
7 10
7.00000001 0
8 10
8.00000001 0
This is a 8 seconds sample of a 10V 1Hz sawtooth with 10ns reset time (you
can edit it at your taste)
Notice that EWB interpolates values. For those waveforms that interpolation
by hand is impossible (exp, log or frequency sweeps) I generate the txt
with qbasic (the old DOS one) and edit/cut the interesting part.
