$3 each for a CA3280E is a very good price.

$1.43 for a NTE 996/CA3080 is....well..... iffy.  When you consider that 
only a few months ago, a REAL CA3080 was under a dollar, I am not too sure 
about that much for a dubious replacement.

Get some samples and test them...
