The interview was definitely strained. Anyway, I liked this KS statement:
"Freedom" can be very confusing. The craft of an artist is not to use
"freedom" and make everything that is possible. The artist chooses a certain
form or frame, and he exhibits his art in this chosen form. Which is, more
or less, the opposite of total freedom.
As for me, I've been offline for a few weeks. Hurricane Wilma hit on 10/24,
leaving us without electricity for 2 weeks, plus we went on vacation (before
the power even came back on) until Sunday night. We now need a new roof
(Hello, Tim Daugard, I've joined the club!), but my synths and our bodies
were unharmed, so I feel pretty lucky.
