I just picked up the first tenth of a yard sale purchase today, a
huge mass of older parts. I don't know what the rest is going to
yield, but today's haul includes a large quantity of RCA metal can
ICs and transistors, along with a bunch of 74xx logic.
I know these metal can ICs are hard to come by these days, so if
anyone has a specific need, I'd be more than happy to dig through and
see if I had it. A quick sampling shows quite a few CA3002, CA3018,
and CA3020 are present. There are some other makes represented, but
most of it is RCA. All of this stuff is brand-new.
Anywho, let me know if, by some weird quirk of fate, someone needs
something like that, or some of the various 74xx gates and counters.
(The former would be handy for the CGS logic module, I suppose. I
have no intention of building it, and I definitely have no intention
of building, say, 50 of them.) Lord only knows what the rest of this
haul will contain. I'm picking the rest up tomorrow. I'll have enough
ICs and transistors to start a late 70s electronics supply house, I
think.
