A quad osc has two outputs, 90 deg out of phase.  Useful for LFO CV 
applications.

I did a switchable 2-quadrant / 4-quadrant multiplier some time ago.  So 
you can switch between VCA and ring modulator.  *Very* clever, but it never 
caught on.  :-(
