Hi

I remember there was some discussion a few months ago about using Philips 
ARM7 parts for diy. Someone mentioned that the IO ran at much lowered 
speed. What exactly does this mean? GPIO bitbanging instructions take 
forever? All communication with io peripherals (onboard UARTs etc) are 
slow too?

Olimex LPC-H2106 looks rather attractive for diy. 40 pin wide dip header 
board, onboard oscillator & voltage regulators, only 54e incl VAT from 
local supplier.
