I've seen in Elektor of december that Total Phase (www.totalphase.com) has a
"Beagle USB protocol analyzer". The price is "only" 400 $...
Foun on the website :
The BeagleTM USB Protocol Analyzer is a non-intrusive Full/Low-Speed USB
protocol analyzer. Developers can see what is happening on the USB bus as it
happens with bit-level timing information at 21 ns resolution.
Whether you are developing hardware, firmware or software, the Beagle
analyzer is an invaluable tool to help the developer see what is happening
on the USB bus.
Thanks to the Beagle analyzer's low cost, every engineer can have his or her
own. That means you do not have to schedule time to share your analyzer with
other developers. Bottom line, your company saves time, effort and money.
Major Features
a.. Non-intrusive Full/Low-Speed USB monitoring (1.5 Mbps/12 Mbps)
It is even possible to monitor a High-Speed USB device by using a
Full-Speed hub.
b.. Real-Time Data Capture and Display
Watch USB packets as they occur on the bus.
c.. Bit-Level Timing
See the individual bit timings down to 21 ns resolution.
d.. Fully Linux and Windows compatible
e.. Includes full function monitoring tools
f.. Low Cost
In the "Specifications" section you can find lots of informations about USB.
Phil.
