[sdiy] crosspoints (was: What type of switch would this be?)

Hi,
I recently found some PCB's with interesting 8x16 crosspoints in DIP
package: MT8816AE
Datasheet at: http://cn.100y.com.tw/pdf_file/MT8816AE.pdf
I'm willing to donate two of these (they are soldered on a double
eurocard) to anyone who promise to build something interesting and
share the results with the list!

I agree with this. For my hybrid system I spent a lot of time figuring
out
the most useful connections and then set up a switching system to
implement
them. Part of the patch setup is done with analog switches, to set
what I
call the "configuration" of the system, and the patch is then completed
by
setting levels in a set of several voltage-controlled mixers.
