Tim,

This was a really nice post, thank-you. I will have to check out the site.

Bob Moog was one my childhood heros also. I was totally captivated by 
"Switched on Bach," which lead to my starting SDIY work in the 1970's.

The Moog synthesizer also motivates my interest in BJTs for synthesis, 
since Bob Moog once said that the availability of the silicon transistor 
in the early 1960's really transformed what was possible. There's still 
today so much potential down that path, in my opinion.
