As of tonight here is where I'm at in the modulation scheme. All this will
be tied togther via switches controlled by software as a matrix. (gee...
where'd that idea come from..)
Control Inputs
VCO1:
Frequency
Wave Select (Sq/Saw)
Wave adjust(Sq/Pulse, Saw/Tri)
VCO2:
Frequency
Wave Select (Sq/Saw)
Wave adjust(Sq/Pulse, Saw/Tri)
Sync (On/Off)
VCO3/LFO1 (with range switch ala Minimoog):
Frequency
Wave Select(Sq/Saw)
Wave(Sq/Pulse, Saw/Tri)
Sync (could be cool?)
VCF:
Mode (Serial 4p/Parallel 2p, LP/HP/BP)
Frequency 1
Rez 1
Frequency 2
Rez 2
Mixer:
VCO1 Fundamental
VCO1 Sub
VCO2 Fundamental
VCO2 Sub
VCO3 Fundamental
Noise
LFO2
Frequency
Wave
Control Sources:
Env 1
Env 2
Env 3
VCO 3/LFO 1
LFO 2
VCO 1
VCO 2
Expression 1
Expression 2
What I'd really like to have is a VCA of sorts for all the control inputs so
that an ENV can adjust the amount of modulation going to a source. I assume
it's literally just a VCA? Given this design I'm already adding ALOT of
them, so whats a few more? And, yes, I do plan on using the flip/flop scheme
thats in the schematics to make the values controlled by switches CVable and
perhaps accomplish some really neat things with the waveforms and parallel
filter in software.
