This number is good. When I was selling art work at craft shows I
had to charge 3X costs to cover materials used and show overhead. At
the time, I figure my time as free, as I was creating art for myself
and trying to establish a reputation. I chalked my time as an
advertising expense. 6X to 10X parts cost is probabily minimuim to
actually show any kind of profit.
. . . of course the 10X parts cost is why I DIY.
