[sdiy] coating PCBs? newbie question

I like "Loetlack SK 10" by Kontakt Chemie. It protects the copper  
traces and the PCB can be soldered very well. But don't use it for  
high impedance circuits like sample & holds. It's not a perfect  
isolator.

Spraypaint might work, but you don't know what kind of fumes you're  
inhaling while soldering the stuff....
