[sdiy] small business idea

I think there is a gap in the DIY market for complete kits, especially if
they were electrically compatible with an exsisting modular format, there
are a lot of very clever people who can design and build modules from
scratch, design and produce panels etc. But there are also many of us who
sit on the sideline green with envy, who have decent basic soldering and
assembly skills but neither the equipment, funds or skill to make our own
modules and other equipment. Most of my equipment purchases of the last 2
years have been kits from Blacet, Paia, an x0xb0x and a few other bits and
pieces, all of them have turned out very well and I think that for me most
of my future purchases of music equipment will be kits.

I think there are many advantages to this approach - reduced cost, more
unusual and esoteric products, the fun and enjoyment of building it oneself,
the learning how things work, and the option of customisation etc.

So if you do decide to do full kits I would be interested, I think the
market could do with a few more kits to add to rather than compete with the
already fab stuff that is out there.
