Usually a percentage line loss is the important thing... 220 to 245 is a
small
loss (relatively).
I remembermy Alesis HR-16 on a hot summer day, at the end of an electric
service. It crapped out in the high 90V range. I thought it was broken
until
I measured the mains...
Most units 'should' be good for a 20% low line... that is what we design
for in
industry. But otoh who cares about some stupid music equipment...
(obviously...
not Alesis :^)
Paul might run one of his units down on a variac, and see if he can
duplicate the
(alleged) Japan issue...
