Mostly because Yamaha parts are only used in Yamaha products.  They don't 
really need to provide data sheets, since they don't sell the parts to outside 
vendors (except for a handful of parts which are found mostly in computer sound 
cards).  They don't even provide much information on Yamaha IC's in the 
service manuals of the products that use them.

That really sounds like some kind of Mitsubishi/Panasonic part number.  Those 
guys make a LOT of different parts, and don't always provide specs and data 
sheets to the public, unfortunately.
