Hi all,

Was finally able to work out the rest of the details with KRL-Bantry.
Just a reminder that they are just starting another batch of tempcos in
the ranges that we want, so the lead time is 6-8 weeks before they are
ready. This is necessary as they do hand make these precision
resistors.

Currently, the order is looking like this (all the same ppm):

1k, 1% - 315 pieces at $1.62 each
2k, 1% - 170 pieces at $1.92 each

And - they can do 1.87k, 1% for the same pricing as 2k! 

I am not clear on how many of these people want... some of the people
who wanted 2k will probably want 1.87k instead. So we might need to
refine things on this end to figure out our purchases, knowing the
price breakdown. I told them that I will finalize the purchase and pay
in a few days. So, do please feel free to contact me off list yet again
if you want to mix and match different values. Otherwise I'll assume
that they are the ones I noted the first time.

When I decided to see about a group buy of tempcos, I was guessing that
maybe I could scare up buyers for 100 pieces. I was not at all
expecting that we would be pushing 500 pieces! Amounting to about $840,
this is only a little less money than I have, period. So, once people
confirm with me how many they definately want to get, I would be very
much grateful if some of you would not mind pre-paying. Otherwise I am
going to eat tempcos for dinner next month! I am not making any profit
off of this project, I just decided that it is time for me to get a few
tempcos and that I should try to get us a good price on these.

It'll be a few days before people have finished adjusting their orders.
I need for people to confirm their orders with me - including their
shipping addresses, I need to know where to send your tempcos to! Once
I have your confirmation I will let you know, and provide you with my
postal and PayPal addresses for payment. I also need to work out
everybodys postage. People can send their payments to me via checks or
money orders made out in US dollars, or PayPal. If you choose PayPal, I
need for you to include 3% of your total to cover their fees. Also, DO
NOT use my c0r3dump23 email address for PayPal, it is not linked and
I'll get flooded with spam. I use a different address for PayPal.

It'll take me a day to figure out shipping, since people from several
continents are involved. I simply don't know where most of you are, or
how much air mail costs to every place. There is no "flat rate"
shipping as I know that postage to places can vary quite a bit. The
tempcos will be mailed in thick envelopes so the leads do not break the
paper. If need be, I might lightly tape the tempcos together keep them
in place. If anybody has any specific issues with their local postal
service which I should be aware of, let me know ahead of time and I
will see what I can do.

OK? That's the deal as of now. If people change the quantities around
in a way which affects pricing or lead times, I will let everybody
know. Other than that, I will talk with each of you individually. Also,
of course, I will let everybody know when the tempcos have been ordered
for real, and when I have received them.
