Yep. The keyboard mechanics of the ESQ-1 are quite, erm, suboptimal.

And careful with the little contact springs...

I fully agree on that... In terms of accessibility and user
friendlyness, both ESQ1 and SQ80 are still among the best I've seen for
digitally controlled machines.
