1K may be stocked...but.... Attenuate by 1.87K/100K and you get 1 volt per
octave (or very close)...2K/100K you get a bit more than 1V/octave...for
synth work...2K is probably the most convenient...however...by changing
circuits, almost any value can be made to work. When I ordered my Q81Ks 30
years ago...I got 2Ks as this made the most sense to me then (lucky
guess...eh?).....
