[sdiy] a silly potentiometer question

I still don't think they have it right though.

I started to use the Panasonic 9mm pots from Digikey for my synth. The
problem I found was that they barely fit though a FacRack panel, you might
have about 1/32" of thread to get the nut on. So that didn't work well.

The reason that I didn't go with the 16mm Alpha pots from Mouser was the
only audio pots they had were detented at the time. Which for a synth
doesn't give you the resolution you need. Now they've started to carry the
non-detented audio tapers. But guess what, different shafts. 0.53" and 0.33"
shaft lengths or knurled vs. round. They also offer PC mount audio pots but
no PC mount for linear pots.

So anyone know where to get Alpha 16mm pots (both linear up to 100K and
audio taper up to 1meg for ADSRs) with a knurled or D shaft with solder lugs
and PCB mount?

Anyone tried the ALpha 12mm pots in the Mouser catalog, they have 7mm
(~0.27") barrel?

Pissed in Portland.
