[sdiy] Yamaha GS/CS card reader?

Hi folks,

Sorry for cross-posting but there was no reaction on AH , so maybe 
someone here can give me some hints.


So what do you do if your GS-2 refuses to load sounds because of a 
broken card reader and trashing the GS is not your first choice?
AFAIK the reader in question is a K-15913-93, made by Canon, and of 
course utterly unobtainable, except by mugging an unsuspecting CS-70.

Does anybody know of *any* other machine(s) that made use of this 
awkward system? Especially non-synth equipment that could be 
persuaded to volunteer for an organ transplant?
There's a very depressed pianist out there that would be forever 
grateful for some help.
