   Wow, there's so much negativity it's like there's this HUGE sucking 
sound emanating from the DIY list...

   I've been working with SMT since 98, both as a small business and as a 
hobbyist.  For me, SMT has been nothing but a god-send on both fronts.
   I do not see any sort of conspiracy by the large corporations at all.  
SMT is simply meeting the demand of everyone wanting smaller toys.  And 
get used to it.  It'll only get smaller and smaller...
