I think it is plastic DIP package. The easiest way to get all of the
info is to do a search for the datasheet. If you search "LM3046" or
"LM3046 pdf", you'll see some links which are the data sheets from the
semiconductor companies. Want to know the differences between different
companies versions of the same IC (sometimes there are some), get a few
of them, ie search "LM3046" and "CA3046".
The main two factors are 1. package 2. temperature range that the specs
are good for. Package might be shape ( DIP, SIP, QFP, TO5, etc).
Material (plastic, ceramic, etc) Temperature ranges are usually broken
down by application ( general, industrial, military, aerospace).
