The lead-free solder that I used smelled really bad, gave off more fumes
and was not at all a good substitute for lead solder, it was .7% copper and
99.3% tin. Now I am not a solder expert, but do know that whatever was in
this stuff was not good for me. Also correct me if I'm wrong but last I
copper, silver and especially aluminium in the body is not generally good
for health. And lets not even get started on cars, industry, power
stations..........
Point being lead is used in many other areas, solder should be the least of
our worries.
