Thanks. I saw this video some time in the past when you posted a link to it
and to the drag-soldering technique. This is probably a foolish question,
but while I certainly see how you use these tweezers to remove and replace
something that's already been soldered, how do you solder down a new part?
Apply solder to the board first and then place the part? Hold the part
against the board with the hot tweezers and then apply solder? Also, how
about transistors with their three leads? It's all new and different to me. 

They seem to be a little expensive also but I imagine that lower-cost
versions will emerge, if they haven't already.
