Precisely what I needed to do for my Kraakdoos. Only speaker I had
which fit the case I had prepared was a 4 ohm unit. I suspect that this
thing would have been loud even with an 8 ohm speaker... but with 4
ohm, it was way, way too loud. So I put a 10k mod pot on one of the
wires to speaker. It's touchy, but it works. 

Got to look in some texts around here to find other ways to tweak the
amplifier gain for the next one.
