  I think the 'problem' is, given all these fab houses re-tooling for
Pb-free, their thinking is "why re-tool everything when we can just drop
the old TH stuff and save money."  I suspect this is why the CA3280 is
going the way of the dodo.  Intersil doesn't want to waste money on
setting up new DIP package lines.  I wish they would at least make an SOIC 
version of DIP-only parts.
