. . . and back to the orginal topic. My favorite at the moment seems to
be STM and NJR.

I like TI, but lately there old parts are more expensive than the
others, and there new parts are just so strange and specialized that I
haven't found any use.

MAXIM has just anounced a Sample and Infinte Hold chip that looks
intersting - A/D, 12 Bit data latch and D/A on one chip. It looked like
5 or 6 pins. I'm waiting on the data sheet to see what kind of sample
rate it will support.

I like national, but lately, there parts are soooo small, I can't see
the pins. When you're still hand wiring circuits on perfboards, it kind
of makes them difficult to use. I'm not sure I can hold a 32 gauge wire
steady enough to solder to the pins.
