You know that chipsforbrains gets these things from Asia. I know where I can
get SSM2044's for about $2.50 right now, and their are thousands available.
They'll ship them with a credit card and bill it to your shipper's account.

Perhaps if there's a bunch of us interested in a particular obsolete part,
we can go in and get a huge quantity discount for them?
