[sdiy] Fume extraction

My main concern is my health right now and I'm looking into fume extraction systems from Weller and Nederman. I'm leaning towards the Weller bench filter because I have the iron for it already (at tip extraction).

I've managed to create my own with the house central Vac hooked up to the Weller TC-201 FE, and I have had some success but it's not perfect (some fumes escape).

My question is has anyone used either the Nederman "hoods" or Weller at tip FE's and which do they prefer ?
The Weller is much cheaper but it's only for soldering whereas the Nederman is useful for solvents and other noxious fumes but requires venting to the outside (not a prob in summer).

Also have there been any new developments in the solder itself, it's not the lead per se that 'triggers' my asthma but the other 'stuff'.
