Simm Socket availability:

Yes, these 30 pin Simm Sockets are becoming very hard to get.
I have been getting my sockets from my friend Peter in Hong Kong,
"Peter J. Crowcroft" <peter at kitsrus.com> (DIY Do It Yourself
Electronics). He may have some in stock right now for sale.

I do have thousands in stock, and I can order them from Peter if I run
out. He has been able to get them manufactured for me, but it usually
takes an order of 10K units at a time, however in these quantities,
they are not that expensive.
So if you are serious about using the SimmStick 30 pin bus, you can
still get the sockets.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Not that I have anything against Dontronics, but choosing
single-sourced obsolete components is not a good way to go, IMHO.

Cheers,
Neil
