Do you mean type 2B, i.e. 2 rows of 16 positions each, fully
fitted with contacts ?

If size is not an issue, you may be better off with type C
connectors (3 rows of 32 positions each, top and bottom rows
fitted with 16 contacts each). I believe they're more common. Of
course, I may be full of shit.

Myself, I think I'd go for 34-, 40- or 50-pin HE 10 connectors
because those who can't or won't make a PCB can make themselves a
poor man's motherboard with a flat cable. And traction levers are
available too.
