I took E & M course this semester and was amazed how electrons zig-zag through a conductor to develop current, 
I = nqvd. 

It was a tough course but learned alot , text we used was Physics for Engineers and Scientists by Serway and Jewett: I found it clear and well written as opposed to Reese.

btw (off topic) for a great Tesla coil demo check out 'Coffee and Cigarettes", a Jim Jarmusch movie of short stories "Jake shows Meg his Tesla coil" - hilarious
