It's Linux  'cos it ain no BSD :D

In the bigger picture (bigger multiuser systems), the whole *nix user
management system is seen as a flaw (By the people, who don't count
"Active Directory" as user management, I think).

As you say, things are improving. And fast. As always with Linux.

And why not a desktop OS? 
Why not? I can see what happens on the network without purchasing
anything. People can do their work with Open Office.. Uh, I don't have
to run around because of the Latest Virus thread, I can only say -
Well, It didn't affect US.
