For those who ordered a PCB of "AVRsyn": there is a new feature -
a MIDI channel selector. You can use either a four-position DIP switch,
a hexadecimal switch or a rotary switch.

The MIDI selector should be connected as follows
(refer to the schematics at
http://www.elby-designs.com/avrsynth/avrsyn-about.htm):

SW1 from J101-28 to J101-33
SW2 from J101-28 to J101-35
SW3 from J101-28 to J101-37
SW4 from J101-28 to J101-39

The following settings are possible:

SW4 SW3 SW2 SW1 MIDI channel

off off off off each (OMNI)
  off off off ON 1
  off off ON off 2
  off off ON ON 3
  off ON off off 4
  off ON off ON 5
  off ON ON off 6
  off ON ON ON 7
  ON off off off 8
  ON off off ON 9
  ON off ON off 10
  ON off ON ON 11
  ON ON off off 12
  ON ON off ON 13
  ON ON ON off 14
  ON ON ON ON 15

In case of using a rotary 5-position switch, only
"each", "1", "2", "4", and "8" could be selected.
