You can think of the BA662 as a bit like a better spec'd 3080 with
internal buffer amp. And the BA6110 as half a CA3280 also with a buffer
amp. This means that the Iabc pin is nominally held at different voltages
in each one. This must be considered when driving the Iabc pin from a
lowish impedance source as in the TB303. Its not really a problem if Iabc
is derived from a pure or near pure current source like in the SH09,
SH101 etc.
Note also that both have considerably greater sensitivity to Iabc than
the Intersil parts, ie. higher Gm spec.
There may well be more to it than that though.
BTW: The dots on the Roland chips I think are to do with the Gm of the
OTA. But there may be some dots for lower offset too.
