hehe, probably not..
all you need is a good technique (and practice)..

For 0804 parts,
cover the pads in flux, place the part.
Load soldering iron (with convex tip, called a 'mini flow') with solder
hold one end with tweezers,
apply soldering iron, done...
just solder the other end, there's usually enough solder in theminiwave tip 
to do 3 or 4 joints.

for QFP/SOIC,
Cover pads in flux,
position the parts,
solder ONE pin, check alignment, correct if needed.
Solder pin at opposite corner, double check alignment.
Cover the pins in flux,
Load the miniwave tip with solder,
Run the tip along the pins,
Done,
You go do 20 or so pins in a row like this in one pass of the miniwave.
