Unfortunately most of us like to keep the ones we have for no hassle 
replacements of the 14 pin package in particular in some old gear that 
turns up now and then.  Besides they're like...part of my childhood that 
never ends :-)  I haven't seen a source of them for a long time.  I 
missed the discussion up to now..is there some reason you need a 709?  
You could always just...build one from discrete parts. :-)  -Bob
