Here is a good rule of thumb. (No, not the one for spouse beating.)
#10 AWG is approximately 1milliohm per foot and is approximately 0.1 inches
in diameter. Easy to remember.
Each three gauges up approximately doubles the resistance per foot. Each
three gauges down approximately halves the resistance per foot.
