Me too! I've heard that there are XR2206 circuits in there too.
I have a collection of these. Probably not the best oscillator in the world, 
but a nice simple way to make sine waves.

I /did/ find some cool articles showing how to use the 2206 as a ring 
modulator. And there's a cool percussion circuit too.
