Yes - I've considered this. but doing it multiple times I would probably
also consider suicide by the time I was done.  The issue with transferring
heat from the board doesn't concern me, it's something I would actually
prefer. As long as it's transferring the same amount of heat to the chip AND
to the tranny, I'm good., Using the board as a heat source (or sink?)  would
probably help to stabilize the temperature delta between the two parts,
which is the best solution I could ever ask for.
