The one in Barry Klein's book is almost identical to the one on the 
datasheet.  Also worth looking for are the Korg MonoPoly and PolySix 
schematics for the 2044 based VCF.

I built two out of Barry's book and added  a simple mod to give them 
VCable resonance.  They're very nice modules.  As far as monolithic VCF 
ICs go, the 2044  is somewhere between the SSM2040 and the CEM3320 in 
terms of warmth.
