[sdiy] Patch for Glide with assignable/relative start point

While conceptallizing a mechanical controller I had this thought for a glide effect. Is there a way to have a glide effect that starts from an assigned spot instead of it starting from the initial point?

For example:
Patch keytracking (1V/Oct) to VCO 1 exp CV and to a glide/porta/slew module. Patch glide to VCO 2 exp CV . Both VCOs will be tracking the keyboard but with VCO 2 gliding to and from each newly pressed key.
Press lowest C...now press highest C and VCO 2 will glide from low C to high C at a rate set by glide/slew rate pot. I want VCO 2 to start gliding from middle C instead of lowest C. In other words, I want the glide to intiate from a point relative to the new note as opposed to iniating from the old note.
Not sure if this will be of great use but the idea came and I like to patch things up and let my ears be the judge.

I'm using a VC glide (dual Portamentiometer) and I think this might be key.

Any Ideas Please. Any ideas for using such a patch are encouraged too.

Thanks,
Peng
