Hi,
I am currently building a Formant MSS2000.
I followed the calibration procedures of the book for all modules, only
the V/Oct calibration of the VCO I did by ear and by using a crystal
based reference oscillator. Please look at:

The gate voltage is a steady one, otherwise you would have a trigger.
I made own layouts for all PCBs for several reasons, please read the
module descriptions in my diary.
