[sdiy] sn76477n + control voltage

Hi

I'm currently working on a junky chaotic synth box with patchbays, 
utilizing 4558-opamp based LFO's(because I have about 30 of them), and 
for VCO's I'm using a 555 and an sn76477n. the output cv from the LFO's 
enters a JFET transistor hooked up to 9V to control the 555, but for the 
sn76477n it demands 5V instead of 9V... in order to control the sn76477n 
would I be able to just use the same JFET system as I'm using for the 
555 but hook it up to the sn76477n's 5V output instead of the power 
supply's 9V?
