Unfortunately, the mini uses a more complex keying arrangement.
If the keyboard had only one contact closure, this would be great.
But since the CV has to be available before the Gate is produced, 
things would be more complex and additional circuitry involved.


I'd just like to thank everyone for their replies, but don't want to 
monopolize the forum with separate posts for each and there's a TON 
to read now before I do. So thanks big time.
I'll get private and list emails together soon.

Oh and... I gotta go unload the groceries ;-)
