Software wise:
They can call it what they want, but *this* is additive:

You've got limited control (by design) but damn does it sound good for
what it does.
The Camel Audio Cameleon 5000 also looks like it could be very
interesting as does Virsyn Cube.
Hardware wise:
I used to have a K5m. Very interesting module but not enough control
over individual harmonics.
It would be fun to do some modular additive, but you'd have to have at
least 16 osc's and 16 multistage EG's to get much of anywhere, right?
Has anybody played with the Analogue Solutions RS370 Polyphonic harmonic
generator and Expander? With the two combined you've got up to 25
harmonics, which ain't to shabby..
