Thanks, Tim!
I'm glad you like lit. I have visions of a horror film floating through my
mind while I'm working on this piece. This is basically soundtrack music
for a movie that doesn't exist.
All the sounds in the piece were synthesized with Cameleon 5000, a VSTi
additive synth.

I also used a couple free convolution reverb VST plugins (Convo-Boy & SIR)
as additional effects.

I used Tracktion as my sequencer.

There are about 20 "MIDI" tracks in the sequence, but most of the tracks
are pretty sparse. For example, the gigantic drum hit at the end is on its
own track. I like to keep things neat and tidy that way. :)
In order to get this as close to Synth-DIY content as possible, I should
mention that I wrote some custom editing software for the Cameleon synth,
which makes some aspects of preset creation quicker and more precise. I
plan on writing more utilities for this synth in the future. So, while I
might not have made the synth, I did make some accessories for it. I guess
this is the cyber-equivalent of modding your vintage hardware synth. :)
As I mentioned earlier, I do some tech support for Camel Audio, the maker
of this synth. I don't mean for this to turn into a commercial for them,
but I really do like using Cameleon 5000. Actually, this was primarily a
chance to shamelessly push a little of my music onto the group. :)
I've been on this list for a fairly long time, but I never actually shared
any synth music before now. I've secretly envied the other people who would
sometimes post a link to a tune they had just made on their synth gear. To
be honest, I'm just now getting up the nerve to let other people hear my
stuff. :)
take care,
Glen
