That sounds about right to me for this kind of no-holds-barred attack on 
the thing.

But I'll admit I had the 'All that for a Polymoog Keyboard?' reaction too. 
The sound aside - I respect Kevin's rationale, but I'd be worried that even 
after all that work it's still going to die during a session from chip 
failure or something.
