Hey Kevin,
Sounds like you're going to have a good two work weeks into this project by
the time it's done. For that sort of time, I'd charge $2,000 to $2,500.
That's 80 hours at 25 - 30 an hour. Maybe even a little more if it takes
significantly more than two weeks. When I do contract work (CAD, mechanical
design, 3D animation), that's roughly what I charge. Your customer is
basically getting a brand new keyboard (or as good as new), and I think it
would be worth it.
