Hey Dave
here's my "review" on the Truth B3021
Before buying the monitors, i've been looking at many products, and i
found this ones...mainlly the price was very atractive, they cost me
400€ the pair... i've listen to them, with my favorite cd's and with a
yamaha digital piano and a roland phantom, and also i've ear the
alesis MK2 with the same stuffs. First the alesis is a very "hard"
sounded monitor... not so warm as the Truth but they were much more
linear than the Truth, but the price was for me very high. Presently
i've recorded 1 cd from my band and i've done the mastering on them
(not me mastering and adjusting the sound) and let me tell you...it
sounds very good, not only on the monitors but also on a normal cd
player stereo. The building is good for me, they have traveled some
times, always inside theyr boxes, and they keep the good look. They
are very easy to use, and the protection sistem they have is very
good. The only thing i "hate" is the power switch that is located at
the back, but they have a standby power mode, that 5 minutes without
sound they simple turn to stanby, beeing active when they recieve any
sound, this way i dont have to reach for the back to turn on and
off... the only bad thing about this "stanby" mode is that the power
trafo heats a little. But for the overall i think i made a good buy.
just my 5 cents ;)
